The Ministry of Culture has renewed, for the third consecutive time, the recognition "Remarkable Garden" to the Abbey of Fontenay gardens.
This label, challenged every 5 years , recognizes exceptional gardens which follow rigorous maintenance and development standards.
Fontenay gardens, which encompass spaces spread over three acres in the abbey perimeter, were redesigned in 1996 with the help of landscape architect Peter Holmes.
