You may either visit by yourself in which case a explanatory map is provided to each visitor in the group, or visit with your own guide, or with a guide from Fontenay (reservation needed).
Free entrance:
School Groups: free entrance for 1 adult for 20 students.
Associations, tour operator, student groups (below 26yr): free entrance for the guide and the bus driver.

Operating hours
COVID19: AS PER GOVERNMENT INSTRUCTIONS, THE ABBEY IS OPEN DAILY
Until March 31, 2022, Fontenay Abbey is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for free visits (without reservation) or as part of a private guided tour (by reservation).
From April 1 to November 11, 2022, Fontenay Abbey can be visited from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as part of a free visit or a regular guided visit in french without prior reservation.
Regular visit times: 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m.-2:45 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The Abbey is open every day of the year (not weekly closing):
Please note that the last tickets are sold 30 minutes before closing time.
